Dear heart, this is for you.

I’m opening up this book once more because I have a burden in my heart to encourage you. It’s a book where I write my stories and share my experiences, in hopes that someone out there, even just a person or two, is going through the same thing and may find encouragement in what I have to share. I want to learn from you too, so please don’t hesitate to drop me a tweet, an e-mail, a comment. Let me know your stories, let me know how I can pray for you. Let me know how I can journey with you.

I started this three years ago on a different site. Back then, my heart was full and heavy. Back then, I felt like I was journeying through a place of darkness. I wanted Sojourning Heart to be the place where I could express what I was going through. And in some ways, it has become that. Even if I don’t get to post all the time, there are days when the heart is too full and it demands to be heard.

Sojourning Heart because we are all pilgrims wandering in a land that is not really our home. Sojourning Heart because life is a journey with its own ups and downs. Sojourning Heart because as I go through this thing called life, as I wander, I am seeking my Creator and seeking how to bring Him all the glory.

I stopped for the longest time. Expressing myself. Letting my voice be heard. But I have never stopped writing. My journal is filled with notes and stories of what I’ve been going through, and lately, the entries have been pretty long. I’ve kept quiet so long, kept it just at the surface of my lips, at the tips of my fingers, but there are times when things just burst out. I started several times, but as usual, when life happens, you tend to let things peter out.

Not anymore. These days, I find that there is beauty and power in expressing. I no longer want to live under the shadow of regrets, what-ifs, and what-could-have-beens.

These are the things that I want to share. What my Heavenly Father has been saying. What has been on my mind and in my heart. What I think we all need to hear today. I want to do what I can to help and encourage all of you in this journey of life.

So stay a spell. Take out your favourite tea or brew yourself a cup of coffee. Let’s talk for a while. Here’s what going on in my heart; what going on in yours?
